We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to join our Financial Reporting Transformation SME team. We have an exciting time ahead with the team engaged with multiple transformation projects and as a result we are seeking to grow the team with high calibre individuals.
As the Finance Manager in the team, you will be accountable for engaging with large change programmes, deliver complex changes to our accounting models and reconciliations, whilst ensuring we take all opportunities to simplify and improve the integrity, efficiency and accuracy of our financial reporting and controls.
The role is expected to provide strong leadership in executing the teams' vision and strategic direction, provide accounting and controls knowledge and build enduring stakeholder relationships.

What you'll be doing
You will be working alongside major change projects, redesigning, testing and implementing new accounting and financial controls across a range of product and payment journeys. This will also include supporting integration activities between the Virgin Money and Nationwide businesses.
You will be responsible for driving improvements in upstream systems as well as Finance's systems that enable the simplification and improvement of Nationwide's financial accounting and controls.
You will be working in an agile environment, expected to make decisions at pace balancing time, quality and cost.
You will be demonstrating your strong leadership skills as you coordinate and lead in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders and priorities.
