Excellent Finance Manager/Financial Controller opportunity with a £30m t/o rapidly expanding retail / wholesale business (30% annual growth) based in the Merseyside area. Reporting directly to the FD and heading a small finance team, your remit will include:

Monthly management accounts
Profit & Loss analysis and reporting by business area.
Variance analysis - including commentary on budget variances.
Month end journals.
Balance sheet control and reconciliations.
Managing 2 Accounts Assistants (Accounts payable/ receivable and payroll).
Marketing and promotion ROI analysis.
Stock Management.
Pricing and margin analysis for new products.
Maintenance of product costs.
Profitability analysis - channel and product category level.
Quarterly UK VAT return.
Monthly/Quarterly sales tax returns for US and EU markets.
Liaising with external auditors to produce year end statutory accounts.
Supporting the FD with MI pack development.
Developing current financial controls and procedures to meet the evolving needs of the business.

Applicants should be fully qualified CIMA/ACCA - or later stage active studiers - with previous experience in a supervisory role. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to build cross-functional relationships, working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver the best possible results. Applicants who have operated in a similar profile role in the retail/wholesale/e-commerce/logistics sector will be of particular interest. Xero experience would be beneficial and strong MS excel skills are essential. An annual salary to £50k (possibly a little flexibility depending on experience) is complemented with benefits including Bonus, 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) increasing by one per year to a maximum of 30, Pension employer 5%/employee 5%, Hybrid Working (4 days office / 1 day home), and an excellent working environment and culture.
