Job Title: Finance Manager - Financial Control

Location: Nottingham

Contract: Fixed Term 9 months

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Finance team on our journey to implementing a new SAP S/4 HANA platform for Boots UK & ROI, Boots Opticians, and No7 Beauty Company.

This role will support the Finance team with BAU activities whilst they support the SAP project. Additionally, this role will work alongside process leads and business readiness leads to deliver the new SAP S/4 HANA solution.

Key responsibilities

  1. Month end close activities including supervision of offshore team, review and approval of journals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  2. Supporting onshore and offshore teams to adopt new process solutions that maximise the benefits of a single platform for 3 businesses.
  3. Business readiness activities including User Acceptance Testing, Standard Operating Procedures updates, and training.
  4. Data readiness activities including cleanse and transformation of data ahead of migration to S/4.
  5. Transition to new system/cut over planning and execution support.
What you'll need to have

These are the essential skills or experience needed to succeed in this role.
  1. Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
  2. Knowledge and experience of US GAAP and IFRS and working in a SOX control environment
  3. Strong communication skills - working with key individuals across the business and feels comfortable in challenging the status quo
  4. Be a keen problem solver, with experience in diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex issues
  5. Experience of designing, implementing, auditing, or operating end to end business and finance processes.
