The Finance Manager (Commercial Property & Service Charge) role involves:
This role is varied and while predominantly commercial accounts based, will involve working closely with the Property Manager, Facilities Manager, Accounts Department, and MD. We are looking for a pro-active, well-organised, self-starter with attention to detail to join our friendly, family-run property company based in Weybridge. The role has come about due to retirement and as such, full training will be given by the outgoing member of staff.
- Commercial property finance management using Qube property system.
- Full responsibility for keeping Qube up to date, loading all new leases and regular liaison with Portfolio Manager and Facilities Management.
- Preparing completion statements for new leases.
- Raising tenant charges monthly for rent, service charges, and utility charges, and also annual insurance charges.
- Posting tenant receipts on a daily basis.
- Sending out monthly tenant statements.
- Monthly pay over of rents to landlords.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Assisting with monthly and quarterly accounts.
- Weekly purchase ledger posting and payments.
- Collate Service Charge budgets for the new year, in collaboration with Portfolio and Facilities Manager.
- Send budgets to tenants.
- Dealing with tenant queries.
- Updating the budgets for the new service charge year on QUBE.
- Raise invoices monthly or quarterly.
- Prepare Services Charges to be audited at service charge year end and send all information to auditors.
- Check accounts returned from Auditors.
- Raise year-end balancing charges and send audited accounts to tenants.
Profile
The ideal candidate for the Finance Manager (Commercial Property & Service Charge) will have:
- Minimum of 3 years work experience including commercial service charges.
- Good interpersonal skills, someone who can communicate effectively and efficiently with people at all levels.
- Good IT knowledge, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook is essential.
- Knowledge of Qube is highly desirable.
- A very organised and capable approach to the workplace and a willingness to take responsibility for their own workload.
- Be able to work on their own initiative.
- The ability to work towards tight deadlines.
Job Offer
The Finance Manager (Commercial Property & Service Charge) role offers a base salary of £40-50,000 + private healthcare, free parking, and 1 day from home per week.
