Finance Manager - Central Financial Planning & Analysis

About the role

Part of the Central Financial Planning and Analysis team, the role offers the opportunity to develop a broad understanding of our business, giving an opportunity for career development within Boots.

What you'll need to have

We're looking for someone to join the Boots UK finance team as Finance Manager - Central FP&A. As part of the Finance team, you will primarily be responsible for driving quality reporting and for providing insight to the leaders of our business. The responsibilities include:

  1. Work with stakeholders to understand the end to end financial performance within areas of responsibility.
  2. Bring insight, challenge, and influence to areas of responsibility, contributing to key business decisions, bringing a wider business/market perspective.
  3. Lead on the delivery of our ESG reporting agenda, working closely with our Business and Group teams to deliver both annual and ongoing reporting requirements.
  4. Working with key stakeholders to identify and drive improvements in our reporting processes.
  5. Monthly reporting and forecasting process.
  6. A source of financial integrity and stewardship in processes and behaviours, implementing improvements to processes and procedures.
  7. Create, prepare and analyze key business reports, as well as reporting on projects as they are implemented, providing partnering and education to improve financial awareness.
  8. Work with other areas of Finance, the Business, and Group functions to create a consolidated view of performance.
Qualifications

You need to be a qualified finance professional (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) with the ability to work and communicate effectively with key individuals of all levels across the business. You will need to demonstrate:

  1. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and people leadership skills, in order to inspire, effect change, and guide successful processes and performance.
  2. Ability to think strategically, review, and use analytical skills to understand the bigger picture whilst having good attention to detail.
  3. Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under pressure.
