Salary: £50,000.00 - £55,000.00 per annum (Depending on experience)

Responsibilities

As a key part of the Finance department of BYK UK, the role reports to the Head of Finance. Responsible for ensuring the Finance function adheres to the BYK global standards and provide excellence in SAP operation as a resident process expert. The role carries a high degree of responsibility for the company’s financial accounting function, driving the provision of full and accurate financial information, supporting and challenging internal processes to ensure consistent information is delivered efficiently and effectively. The Finance Manager will have direct line manager responsibility for 1 colleague.

Key Accountabilities

1. Support the delivery of all external and internal reporting requirements of the company.
2. Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the business, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.
3. Ensure the accurate recording and reconciliation of all financial data within deadlines.
4. VAT return preparation and submission and HMRC processes.
5. Lead, mentor, and manage Finance Officer, providing guidance and training to develop and maintain the highest quality accounting habits and disciplines.
6. Manage the Finance function (FI) of the company's reporting systems (SAP) and Process expert responsibilities.
7. Perform Internal controls and look to make improvements to procedures and controls especially in operation controlling.
8. Supporting Head of Finance in the development and sharing best practice across the business, policies and procedures.
9. Managing an audit process of current systems – while acting as the first point of contact for external auditors.
10. Responsible for tax reporting.
11. Other ad hoc duties as required in a hands-on varied role.
12. Support Head of Finance with other ad-hoc duties or special projects on a timely basis.

Requirements

Required / Essential Qualifications, Experience and Attributes

1. Full or part qualified CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent.
2. Experience in Corporate tax reporting, VAT return.
3. Experience in accounting and financial reporting and SAP Finance function preferably through implementation/transition.
4. Strong technical accounting knowledge.
5. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
6. Strong analytical skills and process-oriented mind set.
7. Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
8. Strong team player and ability to thrive and work independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
9. Focus on continuous improvement, driving process change and enhancing the financial control environment.
10. Excellence in the use of MS office products.

Desirable qualifications and experience

1. Experience of working within a manufacturing environment.
2. Experience in working in an organisation spanning multiple geographies and cultures.
