Job Title: Finance Manager

Location: Birmingham Business Park

Salary: £45,000 per annum

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM (with 1-hour lunch break)

Full-time, 40 hours per week

Company Overview

Our client is a thriving SME located in Birmingham Business Park. With a turnover of £5 million and a team of 25 dedicated professionals, the company continues to evolve, providing excellent services to its clients. We're recruiting a management accountant to join their finance team.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Accounts & Financial Reporting
    1. Production of management accounts - producing monthly P&L and balance sheet, posting all journals accordingly
    2. Management information - Produce weekly reports to support informed business decisions and provide relevant analysis and insights
    3. Budget preparation - assist with preparation of annual budget working closely with budget holders and Head of Finance
    4. Balance sheet reconciliations - perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and compliance
    5. VAT returns - preparation of quarterly VAT return
    6. Cash flow forecasting - production of weekly cash flow forecast
  2. Ledger Management
    1. Oversee ledgers and financial processes
    2. Purchase ledger - posting all purchase invoices and production of payment run files
    3. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data
  3. Growth & Development
    1. Adapt financial processes to meet the demands of a growing business
    2. Support the expansion of the business by managing financial systems effectively

Candidate Requirements

Background & Qualifications

  1. Part-qualified accountant (study support will be offered)
  2. Strong organisational and self-management skills
  3. Ability to produce accurate financial data and insightful analysis
