Finance Manager

A well-established manufacturing business in Lancaster are looking to appoint a qualified senior finance professional. This role sits as a strong number 2 in finance and there are succession plans in place for this role to develop into a number 1 position in the next few years.

Your New Role as Finance Manager:

Working in a team of 4-5 finance staff, this role reports to an engaging Head of Finance and specific duties will include:

1. Engagement with a variety of senior stakeholders to support strategic decision making in the provision of financial information and essential insights
2. Production of monthly management accounts in accordance with Group requirements
3. Analysis on variances with commentary
4. Provide insight and analysis of manufacturing and supply chain costs to include labour costs, material costs and efficiencies.
5. Ensuring product costing (BOMs and standard costing) are accurate, managing the costing system
6. Responsible for all overhead reporting and analysis
7. Management of stock as required
8. Support the annual budget process with sales, margin and cost detail

Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:

The successful candidate will be fully qualified (CIMA/ACCA), with a background in the manufacturing sector and significant exposure to standard costing systems and manufacturing BOMs. The ideal candidate will be career driven, keen to develop into a more senior role with sufficient support from the Head of Finance and wider team. Proven ability to influence and drive change is desirable as this role offers the opportunity to add value through reviewing and streamlining existing processes and systems.
