Finance Manager

My client is a private equity backed services business based in Cheshire. This newly created position is being recruited on a permanent basis to head up one of their new divisions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking for a finance leadership position with a growing subsidiary where you will be heavily involved with the strategic aspect of the growth.

As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for providing a full comprehensive accounting service for the new division within the group. This will involve all month-end activities including:

1. Producing monthly management accounts
2. Providing commentary on performance
3. Analysing variances
4. Producing profit and loss reports
5. Completing budgeting and forecasting
6. Processing accruals, pre-payments, and journals

You will also be involved with strategic aspects of growing the business and business partnering with various key stakeholders, both financial and non-financial.

This role will suit a part-qualified or newly qualified accountant who has a solid grounding of financial accounting as well as exposure to the commercial side of the industry. Previous experience in a high volume, low margin environment would be highly advantageous to enable you to have a good eye for detail in this type of business.

The salary on offer is up to £55,000 depending on experience and qualification, with an attractive benefits package that includes the ability to work on a hybrid basis.
