Finance Manager

Reed Finance is working with a Manufacturing company in Ilminster recruiting for a Finance Manager to join their friendly team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a company that operates a compressed 4-day week (Mon-Thurs working week).

Reporting to the Head of Finance this is a broad role with responsibilities including:

1. Provide line management of the Finance team (4).
2. Maintain, control and optimise the ERP system for all financial and business processes.
3. Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations.
4. Prepare timely monthly management accounts and submit results to Head of Finance for review.
5. Manage company cash flow.
6. Process the reporting of monthly accounts.
7. Manage Credit Control ensuring there are customer credit checks, setting credit limits, monitoring of aged debts and collection of outstanding amounts.
8. Manage Finance team routine activities including payroll generation, staff expenses, P11Ds, PAYE settlement agreements and reconciliations. Ensuring adherence to HMRC regulations.
9. Maintain control accounts including Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, PAYE and VAT.
10. Reconcile GRNI monthly.
11. Providing technical support and advice to all on-site companies regarding VAT and PAYE.
12. Develop and improve financial systems and management information.
13. Main contact for annual audit transactions.
14. Prepare annual statutory accounts documentation for Audit purposes.
15. Maintain internal controls across the business and maintain a culture of process improvement.
16. Assist Head of Finance on projects including Costing, integration with new ERP system, Improving processes.
