Finance ManagerAGCO Finance is a global joint venture partnership between AGCO and DLL. The principal activity of AGCO Finance is the financing of equipment to AGCO’s customers and dealers in the UK and Ireland.
AGCO, ( www.agcocorp.com) is a leading US-based global group specialising in the manufacture, design and distribution of agricultural equipment. AGCO produces and markets brand names including Massey Ferguson, the most widely-sold tractor brand in the world, and Fendt, the technology leader. DLL, ( www.dllgroup.com) a member of Rabobank Group, is a leading global finance specialist. The joint venture with AGCO was originally established in 1990 and has now expanded to over 20 countries worldwide.
As part of its partnership with AGCO, AGCO Finance offers a wholesale finance service to its dealership network in the UK and Ireland.
The company employs circa 50 staff; of which typically 20 to 25 are based in the back-office center in Stoneleigh in a hybrid working model.
Manage and lead the legal entity in all aspects of business and financial planning, control, and project/program management. As a subject matter expert, ensure alignment with finance and control policies to enable effective and efficient organisational leadership and optimise business results.
Key Responsibilities:- Finance Leadership: Provide strategic financial guidance and leadership to the organisation, ensuring robust financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Business Partnering: Act as a true business partner to key stakeholders within the local business, across the wider DLL Group, and into AGCO, fostering strong collaborative relationships.
- Financial Control: Oversee financial control mechanisms to ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and to safeguard the organisation's assets.
- Project Management: Lead and manage financial aspects of projects and programs, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Performance Optimisation: Challenge the business where necessary to drive performance improvements and optimise business results.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with key stakeholders to provide insights and support decision-making processes, contributing to the overall strategic direction of the organisation.
Responsibilities
Business strategy and planning
Contribute to the formulation of the strategy and business plan of the organisation and derive a plan for own department, to optimise country organisation strategy and the business plan and give direction to the activities of own department as a basis for realising the defined goals in an effective and efficient manner. Plan, organise, co-ordinate and support the business and financial planning and budgeting process, to provide a basis for sound decision making on objectives and to review realisation of those.
Control
Optimise and implement finance & control policies and tools and advise on subsequent matters, compliant with corporate policies and regulations, to support and guide country organisation towards effective and efficient strategy/business plan implementation and goal realisation.
Reporting
Ensure all financial, control and treasury reporting are completed accurately and timely, in line with DLL's or statutory reporting deadlines, in order to keep a complete and actual overview on the business results.
Organisation and management
Plan, structure, organise, manage, and control the Finance organisation, processes, staff, and business partners, compliant with corporate policies, in such a way that the Finance plan and objectives are achieved.
Compliance
Control and check all financial activities to be compliant with local fiscal and statutory reporting requirements and corporate rules and regulations.
Process management
Ensure that all financial procedures and processes are up to date and initiate adjustments, if necessary, in line with internal rules and regulations, to realise effective and efficient procedures and processes.
Key Performance Indicators
- Adherence to/compliance with all relevant internal policies, external regulatory requirements and deadlines.
- Finance function “in-control” status as demonstrated by internal controls, processes and documentation and verified by internal and external reviews including (not limited to) external and internal audit assessments.
- Subject matter expert role in local management team providing guidance, insight and strategic direction on business issues including commercial and operational matters.
- Timely, relevant, accurate and complete reporting.
- Engaged and enabled Finance team.
- Representing lead role in initiatives aimed at (continually) improving controls and efficiency.

Experience
- Minimum five years’ experience (post professional qualification) managing a Finance team in a commercial setting
- Experience of working in asset finance advantageous
- Experience of working within a large multinational business an advantage
Qualifications
- Accounting qualification: ACA, ACCA, CIMA (or equivalent)
- UK driving license advantageous
