Finance Manager

• Annual Salary: £46,749 Per Annum
• Location: Colchester
• Job Type: Full-time

Join an award-winning organisation managing approximately 7,000 residential, commercial, and public buildings in the Borough. We are seeking a Finance Manager to enhance our Finance Management Team. This role involves supporting the Director of Resources and Head of Finance in developing all financial aspects of the organisation and leading the accounts officers in alignment with our strategic objectives.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Support the development of financial strategies and oversee their implementation.
• Lead and manage the accounts officers, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
• Maintain robust financial systems and ensure timely closure of accounts.
• Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring financial sustainability.
• Translate complex financial statements into comprehensible terms for various stakeholders.
• Apply strategic decisions effectively within an operational environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Recognised financial account qualification (ACCA, CIPFA, CIMA).
• Strong knowledge of finance and accounting legislation.
• Proven experience in budget preparation, maintaining financial systems, and closure of accounts.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer and quality focus.
• Highly innovative, accurate, and numerate.
• Ability to translate complex financial information into everyday language.
