Finance Manager | Burton-on-Trent | Offering up to £60,000 + Benefits

Let’s get straight to the point. This is not a commercial finance or business partner position.

Instead, it’s a genuine hands-on Finance Manager role with clear progression to Financial Controller. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delving into the intricacies of management and financial accounts, while also having the experience and capability to lead a team effectively.

The Role…

  • Monthly Management Accounts: Prepare monthly reports and analyse any variances.
  • Quarterly VAT Returns: Submit VAT returns every quarter.
  • Forecasting and Budgeting Support: Assist Finance Director in forecasting and budgeting.
  • IFRS Reporting (IFRS 16 Analysis): Aid in IFRS reporting, focusing on IFRS 16 analysis.
  • Financial Processes and Controls: Develop and maintain financial processes.
  • Reporting to Management and Stakeholders: Prepare and present reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Conduct monthly reconciliations, including prepaid expenses.
  • Team Management: Manage a small finance team, providing coaching and guidance.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or Qualified by experience.
  • Experience working in an SME and or group environment.
