Finance Manager

Finance Manager | Burnley | Non-profit | £58-60,000 | Hybrid

I am currently supporting a non-profit organisation based in the Burnley area, seeking a Finance Manager to join their team. Reporting to the Finance Director, the Finance Manager will be responsible for a specific area of the group.

The Role

The key responsibilities of the Finance Manager will be:

• Deliver an efficient and effective accountancy service for the subsidiary
• Oversee the delivery of monthly management information to internal and external stakeholders
• Manage a team of three
• Cultivate strong relationships with the finance management team, operational teams, group business services, wider organisation, and customers
• Promote and develop innovative ways of working to support key decision-making processes and influence future planning and business direction
• Lead the setting of realistic and challenging budgets to support successful monitoring and reporting
• Ensure adequate financial controls are in place, including oversight of all balance sheet reconciliations

About You:

• Professional Accountancy Qualification (or working towards) / Qualified by Experience and evidence of Continued Professional Development
• Strong financial management and accounting skills inclusive of experience in managing transactional teams
• Proficient in using accounting software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven track record of leading and managing a team
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Experience in the non-profit sector is desirable
