  3. Carrying out detailed KPI, variance, and OPEX analysis to support business performance.
  4. Managing and improving internal controls around POs and GRNs.
  5. Acting as the key contact for external auditors and statutory financial reporting.
  6. Submitting VAT returns, Aggregate Levy Returns, and Environment Agency submissions.
  7. Supporting ERP system upgrades and continuous improvement of finance processes.
  8. Mentoring junior team members and contributing to their development.
  9. Working with the Head of Finance on business-wide finance projects and strategic initiatives.
  10. Regular travel between Burnley and Warrington to support local site needs.
What We're Looking For
  1. Fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or QBE with strong, relevant SME experience.
  2. Proven experience preparing management accounts and supporting commercial decision-making.
  3. Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail.
  4. Excellent Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial modelling).
  5. Commercially minded - able to interpret numbers and tell the story behind them.
  6. Adaptable and flexible - thrives in a changing environment and able to pivot priorities.
  7. Collaborative approach - confident engaging with non-finance stakeholders across the business.
  8. Self-motivated and proactive - takes ownership and drives improvements.
  9. Comfortable balancing day-to-day tasks with strategic thinking.
What You'll Get in Return
  1. Salary up to £50,000.
  2. 31 days holiday including bank holidays.

  4. Free onsite parking at both locations.
  5. Ongoing development opportunities and support for professional growth.
