Finance Manager - £50000 - £55000 per annum - Belfast. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced FM.

Our client is a rapidly growing SME that has ambitious targets to continue its success. Having established an excellent brand, this organisation is going through the process of growing their business and are now looking to bring their accounting function in house.

Your new role
We are seeking an ambitious Finance Manager eager to support an entrepreneurial business in achieving its growth targets. This pivotal role will establish and manage the finance function, implementing controls to reduce risk and contributing to commercial analysis development to help decision-making. You will act as a financial business partner within the organisation and deliver the accounting requirements for the business.

The Role:

1. Prepare and deliver both Financial and Management accounts to the owners with detailed insights
2. Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
3. Preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
4. Preparation of year-end packs for external auditors and annual statutory accounts
5. Implement and develop internal financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems and controls.
6. Monthly cash flow analysis and Re-forecasting
7. Build financial models to support business expansion
8. Management of day-to-day financial activities
9. Act as a key partner to the other departments in strategic and operational areas of the business.
10. The ability to challenge processes and colleagues and drive continuous improvement both in the department and in the wider business.
11. There will be ongoing projects that you will take responsibility for.

What you'll need to succeed

1. Qualified Accountant with experience in industry and ideally within an SME
2. Commercially astute and able to work in a fast-paced environment
3. Thorough and methodical attention to detail
4. Agile and adaptable to the priorities of an evolving entrepreneurial business.
5. Exceptional MS Excel skills.
6. Strong written and oral communication skills
7. Highly motivated and can lead and positively influence others.
