Finance Manager job summary

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Finance Manager to join our busy Finance Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the financial health of the school and ensuring compliance with all financial regulations. This role requires a deep understanding of financial management, budgeting, and accounting principles, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including school administrators, teachers, parents, and external auditors. The role also involves reviewing monthly payroll files processed by our external payroll provider.

The successful candidate will:
  1. Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management.
  2. Be highly numerate and literate, proficient with financial software and Microsoft Excel.
  3. Have a strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.
  4. Possess relevant qualifications e.g. AAT, ACA, ACCA, CMA, CIMA.
  5. Have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  6. Be self-motivated, enthusiastic, hardworking and flexible in their approach.
Hours: Between 28 and 37 hours per week, term time plus 3 weeks (41 working weeks)

Salary: Scale MG7 - FTE £41,577 to £45,522; actual salary £28,709 to £41,556 depending on experience and hours worked
