Reporting into the Regional Controller, and as an integral part of the finance team, the main responsibilities of the Management Accountant role are to ensure that Internal, Group and Statutory reporting requirements are completed accurately and on-time, to serve as a Business Partner to Operational Management and to actively participate in continued process improvement initiatives.
Our Role
- Assist with the production of monthly management accounts for UK
- Investigation of variances to budget / forecast.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
- Completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations uploaded onto Blackline.
- Perform bi-monthly AP payment processing in SAP
- Business partnering operational management, providing guidance, analysis, and interpretation of results.
- Supporting the budgeting and forecasting process as requested.
- Dealing directly with external auditors, providing any requested analysis, and resolving queries.
- Preparation of detailed expense breakdowns to support tax computations.
- Monitoring capital projects, providing analysis of fixed asset movements and reconciling the fixed asset register.
- Assists in responding to Office of National Statistics surveys
- Preparation of VAT reporting covering UK, France and Belgium.
- Support the statutory accounts preparation process for UK
- Participate in continued process improvement initiatives, working closely with other parts of the business on process developments.
What you will need to be successful
- Qualified with recognized professional accountancy qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with a large ERP system - SAP desirable
- Manufacturing experience desirable but not essential
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Must have excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
- Must be able to operate in a fast-paced organization and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
