Job description

Our client is one of the UK’s leading environmental compliance and risk management consultancies. They specialise in providing solutions for organisations to ensure they remain compliant when managing environmental risks presented by hazards such as asbestos, fire and water and are looking to add other areas.


They operate across 5 regions and have offices in London (Bishop Stortford), Manchester, Newcastle, Birmingham, Scotland and Cardiff.


The company are going through growth and are looking for an experienced Qualified Accountant to join them as a Finance and Commercial Director to work very closely with the owner as well as the Regional Director.


This is an exciting role that will bring together your Finance expertise but also get you involved very commercially with the business.


Duties will include but not limited to:
  1. Managing a small finance team
  2. Report to and support the MD/Owner of the business on various commercial projects and initiatives
  3. Look to review and make any improvements to systems and processes
  4. Working very closely with the Regional Directors, Sales Director and Technical Director to support and grow the business
  5. Responsible for all things finance, from Yearly and Monthly Accounting and Reporting
  6. Have a strong understanding of Work in Progress (WIP) Accounting
  7. Oversee and ensure that all day-to-day transactional accounting is accurate and on time
  8. Commercial and Financial analysis for the business
