Finance Director

Client is a PE Backed niche service business with a turnover of c£7 m.

The business has now reached the stage where it is seeking a new FINANCE DIRECTOR to help lead the business into its next stage of development. The FINANCE DIRECTOR will be a critical appointment as part of that development.

The role

1. To play an active role as FINANCE DIRECTOR on the main board and contribute to all aspects of day-to-day and long-term strategy decisions where appropriate.
2. Take an active lead in managing the PE House relationship.
3. Take full responsibility for reviewing and ensuring the finance team is fit for purpose including mentoring of key reports to ensure their continued development and as part of that ensuring the financial information is prepared in an accurate and timely manner, to ensure that the business maximises its profits and cash through controlled growth.
4. Play a lead role in likely M&A activity over the next 3-5 years (bolt on acquisitions and eventual sale of part or all the business where appropriate).

The Person

1. Graduate.
2. Chartered Accountant (ACA) - or equivalent.
3. Likely to have over 5 years post qualification experience gained in commerce.
4. Been no 1 in Finance in a PE owned business.

Successful candidates will be notified of initial interview within 10 days. Please note also this role will become hybrid but the successful candidate will be expected to be in the office most days initially.
