Finance Director

A progressive SME manufacturing business has exclusively approached CMA for support in recruiting an Interim Finance Director.
This position will report to the Managing Director and support while the business recruits a Finance Director on a permanent basis. The expected duration of this assignment is 4-6 months.

What will the Interim Finance Director role involve?

• Review monthly reporting processes and suggest/implement improvements.
• Review what is needed in the post longer term and help define the job spec and support interviews, while also overseeing and supporting the finance team during this time of transition.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in line with regulatory requirements.
• Review budget and forecast information, keeping the MD informed of cash position and liaising with non-finance managers regarding business performance.

Suitable Candidate for the Interim Finance Director vacancy:

• Candidates will ideally be CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified and have worked within an SME business covering a well-rounded finance role. Manufacture experience is desirable but not essential.
• Prior team management experience is highly desirable as this role will mentor and support the finance team.
• Strong communication skills to partner with a range of non-finance stakeholders across the business.
