Our client is a leading manufacturer and distributor of highly innovative materials handling solutions, proudly serving major distribution centres and warehousing environments, including renowned clients like Amazon and Morrisons. As a private equity-backed business, they have experienced significant investment over the past three years, positioning them for exciting growth and expansion.

The Finance Director Opportunity:
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Finance Director to join their team. In this pivotal role, you will lead and further develop the finance function, with a key focus on optimising EBITDA—an essential metric as they prepare for an eventual Private Equity exit. Your expertise as a Finance Director will be instrumental in shaping their financial strategy and ensuring robust financial health.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and mentor a talented finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
2. Implement and enhance financial controls and reporting mechanisms to drive operational efficiency.
3. Maintain a laser-sharp focus on EBITDA, providing strategic insights to support business objectives.
4. Analyse complex financial data and present findings to senior management to inform decision-making.
5. Work in tandem with key stakeholders to align financial strategies with overall business goals.

Qualifications:

1. ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.
2. Proven experience in a Finance Director role or similar senior finance position.
3. Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing and managing finance teams.
4. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to interpret complex financial information.
5. Experience in the manufacturing or distribution sector is highly desirable.
