Finance Coordinator

Location: Central Cambridge

Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm (the client would also consider someone who is looking to work 4 days a week)

Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 depending on your experience

Benefits: 28 days holiday + bank holidays, birthday day off, summer and winter team outing, and ongoing training.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and dynamic Finance Coordinator to join a busy family-run Legal Firm in their Finance team. Dive into a role where your meticulous skills meet your passion for legal precision, right in the heart of Cambridge!

Job Duties:

  1. Efficiently post client and office transactions including invoices and payments
  2. Reconcile bank accounts and manage cheque deposits
  3. Handle credit card payments using Clover Devices
  4. Collaborate with the Accountant's Office on payroll and VAT returns
  5. Maintain Purchase Ledger and ensure accurate archiving of files
  6. Support cost update procedures and prepare Bad Debtor Reports

What we are looking for:
  1. Experience in double-entry bookkeeping
  2. Willingness to learn specialist Solicitor Accounts software and Law Society Rules
  3. Competence with Word Processors, Photocopiers, and other office equipment
  4. Strong organisational skills to manage Fee Earners' diaries and sensitive information with confidentiality
