Location: Hybrid (Location dependant - Minimum 1 day in Sheffield office for those who can travel. We also have a quarterly full team get togethers in Sheffield. Essential equipment will be made available to allow for working from home.)

Hours: 2 days a week (15 hours)

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer

Overview:

Tickets for Good makes live events more accessible by providing free and discounted tickets across the UK, the US and the Netherlands markets, to 400,000+ healthcare workers, charity workers, education workers, volunteers, and those receiving government support. We’re seeking a Finance Controller to support our growing team. You will be detail-oriented and highly organized, and thrive in a dynamic and growing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, with experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, and budgeting. A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent experience) is essential, along with proficiency in financial software and reporting.

This role requires someone who can ensure accurate financial records, support decision-making with financial insights, and maintain robust accounting processes. A proactive approach to cost control, forecasting, and cash flow management is also key.

The right candidate will be comfortable working independently while also collaborating with a growing team. Experience in the charity, ticketing, or events sector is highly desirable, as is familiarity with the financial operations of startups or SMEs. As the company expands, this part-time position has the potential to develop into a full-time role, making it a great opportunity for someone looking to grow with us. What You’ll Be Doing:

Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Oversee and manage the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Reconcile supplier accounts and handle queries related to payments.
  • Implement and maintain cost control measures.
  • Ensure bookkeeping is kept up to date and transactions are recorded accurately.
  • Maintain financial records in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Assist with reconciliations and month-end processes.
  • Preparing management accounts and financial reports.
  • Support the Head of Business Intelligence in all aspects of reporting when required.
  • Provide financial insights to assist in decision-making processes.
  • Maintain and manage budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Assist with cash flow monitoring and forecasting.
  • Overall accounting system accountability and decision making to ensure processes are tightly coupled.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Solid background in managing accounts payable, bookkeeping, and financial processes.
  • Skilled in financial planning, budgeting, and monitoring cash flow.
  • Confident in using accounting software and financial reporting tools.
  • Able to analyse financial data and provide valuable insights for decision-making.
  • Meticulous and well-organized, with strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing tasks independently.
  • Analytical thinker with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Clear and confident communicator, able to collaborate effectively with different teams.
  • Adaptable and thrives in a fast-moving, evolving company.
  • Passionate about financial integrity and contributing to a mission-driven organisation.

Education & Qualifications: Holds a recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).

Experience: Experience working in startups, SMEs, charities, or the ticketing/events sector is a plus. An understanding of nonprofit or events industry financial operations is desirable.
