Finance Controller

JOB: Finance Controller
LOCATION: Chester
TERM: Permanent candidates only
SALARY: £70,000-£75,000 and other great benefits

We are looking for a Finance Controller to be part of the site leadership team on a permanent basis near the Chester area. The ideal candidate will have a background from practice with a few years of exposure to commercial experience in the Manufacturing/Engineering industry to achieve forecasts, budgets, and strategic growth plans.

Attributes:

1. 2+ years of commercial experience in Manufacturing/Engineering industries
2. Qualified accountant - CIMA or equivalent
3. Strong leadership skills
4. Good understanding of International Financial reports beneficial
5. Great knowledge of direct & indirect tax
6. In-depth knowledge and experience of ERP systems

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee sites, budgets, forecasts, and strategic financial growth plans
2. Support business decision-making e.g. supplier sourcing, investment decisions
3. Support group financial reporting systems with standard costing
4. Submit tax packs for the site to support the group's UK tax calculation for liabilities
5. Identify & mitigate any foreign currency exposures
6. Ensure financial systems are in place to comply with customer mandated financial reporting
7. Liaise with the group's external auditors to provide requested information and explanations for a smooth & efficient site audit
