Finance Business Partner - SIM and Connected Devices

Finance Business Partner role working in Consumer Finance supporting the Trading and Revenue commercial teams on SIM and Connected Devices to support the delivery and understanding of the financial performance against required business targets through strong business partnering to explain and forecast business performance including understanding and challenging commercial initiatives and changing business dynamics to maximise value.

• Business casing pricing/promo plans, providing financial concurrence and PIR.
• Supporting the vendor funding process.
• Being fully across and driving related trading forecast inputs in partnership with the commercial team.
• Ability to understand and explain monthly performance clearly and succinctly to the commercial team, as well as high level view of any other analysis and support required by the commercial team and to reach across other areas within the acquisition and wider revenue finance team as required.
• Ensuring month-end and forecasting processes run smoothly, and complete all reporting and commentary required for month end, monthly rolls, budget and 3YP.
• Provide effective decision support including performance analysis, optimisation, contract / negotiation support, financial modelling of initiatives and risks.

The must haves

• Finance qualification preferred (CIMA, CA, ACCA), or equivalent, or relevant experience will be considered.
• Strong modelling skills supported by strong commercial analysis to pro-actively draw out business themes, challenge assumptions, understand core problems and bring clarity to complex issues.
• Ability to engage and lead with senior professionals across Finance and Consumer to achieve optimal commercial outcomes quickly and effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate, influence and drive decisions.

The other stuff we are looking for

• Ability to articulate complex and detailed information in a simple form to both financial and non-financial teams around the business across all levels.
• Ability to quickly build strong working relationships within both Consumer and Finance teams.
• Champion change within the division to enable continuous improvements and improve existing reporting with a focus on improving insights.
• Identify tactical and strategic opportunities and risks, and clearly articulate options to maximise opportunities and mitigate risks.
