What we do:
This particular role is at our Bakkavor Salads site, based in Bourne and specialises in preparing fruit, leafy salads, and stir fry mixes. It employs over 1,200 people and is only 16 miles from Peterborough and 12 miles from Spalding.

About the role:
In this busy and exciting role, you will analyse, understand and support improvements to specific areas of the factory. You will be working closely with the operations managers, operational excellence manager and wider operations team to influence decision making and drive factory efficiencies.

Accountabilities:

  1. Delivering regular and ad hoc reporting on all elements of factory performance.
  2. Ensuring clarity of the expected / actual impact of any new operational initiatives, supporting the justification of investment where required ('payback' capital) and measuring returns post investment or post launch.
  3. Acting as the financial guardian for costings - ensuring these reflect reality, outputs are clear, well-presented and have sufficient comparables on which to base approval.
  4. Working with the operations team and senior finance business partner to calculate, justify and update standards on a regular basis to reflect expected performance most accurately.
  5. Delivering robust short term and long term forecasts of factory efficiencies based on clear assumptions, signed off by the operational team and with explanation for any changes in expected trends.
  6. Having an input to the development and delivery of functional objectives.
  7. Stepping up to cover the senior finance business partner and supporting duties carried out by the analysts as required.
  8. Becoming the finance champion for the site management control and reporting system (Redzone).

What you will need:
Ideally you will have previous experience of a similar role within a fast-paced food manufacturing or FMCG environment. You'll have experience of factory performance, labour efficiencies, material variance, standard costings, experience working with large data-sets, P&L and interpreting data into insights.

You will be qualified or working towards relevant qualifications such as CIMA, ACCA or equivalent and possess the ability to manage large volumes of data into usable formats.

Excellent communication, analytical, customer service and excel skills will be key.
