Finance Business Partner

Location: Hybrid

Salary: Up to £60,000 – £65,000 depending on experience

Working hours: 37.5 with a regular Mon-Fri Pattern

We are currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced Finance Business Partner to join our team at HMP Altcourse. As a Finance Business Partner, you will play a crucial role in providing financial leadership to the operational team at HMP Altcourse. Insights to our business leaders, supporting strategic decision-making, and driving business performance. You will collaborate closely with various departments, such as sales, operations, and marketing, to ensure financial objectives are met and exceeded.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

1. Developing and maintaining financial models.
2. Conducting data analysis.
3. Providing recommendations to improve financial performance.
4. Partnering with key stakeholders to develop and track budgets, forecasts, and operational plans.

About You:

Experience and knowledge requirement for this role:

1. Qualified Accountant and must have CCAB qualifications to be considered for the role.
2. Prior finance business partnering experience at SLT level working within a large, multi-service FM contract environment with knowledge of complex contracts is desirable.
3. Proven track record in influencing decision making within a business and improving performance with substantial positive profit impact.
4. Previous experience of balancing multiple priorities simultaneously with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business, whilst meeting deadlines.
5. The ability to connect financial and non-financial metrics to business drivers and actions.

You will be ensuring the accounting controls, policies, procedures, and compliance are maintained according to company policies. As a finance business partner, you will be in charge of oversight of core, periodic reporting and analysis – ranging from management accounts to trend analysis, from compliance to statutory reporting. You will be ensuring the finance department runs smoothly and provide effective services to the internal and external stakeholders.

Additionally, you will be:

1. Developing your team to provide effective cover and create career development pathways that would benefit individuals and Sodexo.
2. Providing financial leadership to the operational team at HMP Altcourse.
3. Using the contract change process to identify and resource new business growth opportunities.
