It is a great time to join Forgemasters, as the business goes through an ongoing period of growth and modernisation after being acquired by the UK Ministry of Defence In 2021. The acquisition has secured our role as a critical supplier to the next generation of UK defence programmes. As part of this programme of work our plant and equipment will be modernised over the next 10 years, creating new opportunities for the business and our colleagues.

Based at our 64-acre site, sitting in the heart of Sheffield, we are looking for a Finance Business Partner for a 6 month fixed term contract, with a view to this role becoming permanent. This role will involve being responsible for all aspects of Financial Planning and Analysis including budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning and KPI reporting. Business partnering across the operational functions and drive accountability for the delivery of forecasts. Increasing the level of analysis across the business to drive informed decision making.

Role Responsibilities

1. The role has 3 key areas of focus: Business partnering; financial reporting and process improvement.
2. Drive financial performance by providing insight and advice to support strategic decision making, ensuring that forecasting and modelling is accurate and informative.
3. Business partnering with key stakeholders, to advise on how best to achieve business goals and objectives.
4. Lead the analysis and reporting of the financial position of the business / business area.
5. Deliver financial reporting, information and analysis to support decision making and modelling.
6. Translate complex financial information and communicate it in a clearly understandable way.
7. Drive change and look for continuous improvement opportunities.

About You

The following relevant skills, knowledge and experience are required:

1. CIMA/ACCA qualified or equivalent / training toward.
2. Advanced MS Excel skills.
3. Excel VBA skills.
4. Management reporting competency.
5. Ability to evaluate & interpret information.
6. Understanding of Financial Modelling.
7. Strong commercial acumen.
8. Previous business partnering experience is a distinct advantage.
9. Strong stakeholder management experience.
10. Ability to change and adapt processes.

Days/Hours of Work

37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday, with flexible start and finish time between 06:15 - 09:30 and 14:30 - 18:00.
