Job description

Are you a strategic forward thinker and would you like to work for an organisation that enables careers in finance and supports the development of skilled accounting experts?
This position requires established line management experience and the proven ability to successfully manage a Management Accountant.

Your day-to-day duties will include:

  1. Providing high-quality financial data and analysis to senior management.
  2. Overseeing the production of accurate and timely month-end management reports.
  3. Developing and maintaining financial models to support strategic decision-making.
  4. Partnering with senior business managers to provide financial insights and support.
  5. Managing complex financial scenarios and assessing their impact on business strategy.
  6. Experience in line management, with demonstrated ability to effectively lead a Management Accountant.

Your skills and experience will include:

  1. Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  2. Extensive knowledge of financial procedures, budgeting, and forecasting.
  3. Expertise in managing financial procedures, including revenue and deferred income recognition, and executing complex accounting reconciliations.
  4. Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial reporting.
  5. Strong analytical, communication, and influencing skills.
  6. Experience in overseeing the production and presentation of financial reports.
  7. Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make recommendations.
  8. Proficient in SharePoint and confident in delivering impactful PowerPoint presentations.
  9. Ability to work to tight deadlines.

  6. Process Improvement: Suggest and implement process improvements, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness within the finance function.
