Job description

Reed Finance are working with a leading Distribution company recruiting for a Finance Business Partner.

Salary circa. £60,000 + car + 10% bonus

Home based with weekly visits to Bristol and Cardiff and monthly visits to Devon & Cornwall.

In the role you'll be providing business partnering, commercial analysis and decision support to the SLT across the 4 sites.

You will work closely with the Managers and divisional Senior Leadership Team to maximise business performance and identify risks and opportunities, supported by a centralised management accounts team.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Provide support, challenge, and insight to the Managers of each site you support.
  2. Deliver financial information, analysis and commentary to key stakeholders including: Weekly and monthly P&L reporting, monthly and quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, variance analysis, KPI’s, benchmarking and ad-hoc analysis to drive business performance.
  3. Provide commercial support to the Managers focusing on understanding and explaining business performance variances and identifying risks and opportunities to enable delivery of their targets.
  4. Develop, challenge, and question the budget/forecast assumptions and KPIs on an ongoing basis.
  5. Provide insight into customer and sales team performance.
  6. Production of the internal Monthly Reporting pack and participation in the Monthly Review Meeting.
  7. Overall responsibility to produce the monthly Management Accounts and all central reporting working in collaboration with the central finance team.
  8. Production and evaluation of business cases including capital expenditure proposals.
  9. Ensure that strong financial controls are in place across all branches.
  10. Ensure that all company policies and statutory requirements are adhered to.
  11. Support the Financial Controller as required through analysis and project activity.
