The Finance Business Partner will collaborate with Account and Operations Directors to support strong commercial and operational decision-making while managing financial risks and opportunities. You will build and maintain robust relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including colleagues, customers, and subcontractors, and work with the finance team to develop KPIs and ensure focus on metrics that drive profitable growth.
As Finance Business Partner you will be responsible for:- Preparing and reviewing annual budgets and reforecasting processes.
- Managing month-end journals and accounts closure.
- Producing and reviewing monthly management information, including detailed variance analysis and performance reporting.
- Preparing the monthly business review pack and presenting findings at the MD/Head of Finance meetings.
- Conducting balance sheet reviews in compliance with the Group Accounting Manual, maintaining a solid understanding of SAP and Nexus.
- Promoting working capital improvements through timely contract billing and proactive debt management.
- Assessing and managing financial risks and opportunities across all contracts within your remit.
- Overseeing financial aspects of contract amendments and service pricing, ensuring consistent pricing strategies.
- Challenging and appraising investment decisions effectively.
- Providing proactive ad-hoc financial analysis to support business unit decision-making.
- Maintaining visibility on-site to assist operators as required.
- Leading and developing a finance team.
The successful Finance Business Partner will be:- CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified with 3+ years of post-qualification experience.
- Commercially experienced in large contract management (FM experience is desirable but not essential).
- Have proven experience in budgeting and forecasting preparation and review.
- Advanced Excel skills and financial modeling expertise.
- Demonstrated business partnering experience with non-financial colleagues at senior levels.
- Comfortable working with uncertainty in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective stakeholder management.
- Well-developed critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a talent for presenting outcomes and influencing stakeholders.
- Results-oriented, decisive, and resilient when faced with challenges.
- A collaborative team player with the initiative to work independently.
