Finance Business Analyst

We have a great opportunity for a Finance Business Analyst to join our Global Finance Team. As a perfect stepping stone to a wide range of career opportunities within Accounting and Finance, you will support the delivery of accurate financial analysis and reporting to the business, assist with forecasting, budgeting, growth projects, year-end reporting, and progressively support key stakeholders in the business. This role will provide the perfect breadth of experience, including being a listed business, to complement studying for your professional accountancy qualifications.

We offer a hybrid work structure where employees work from the office or remotely based on demands of specific tasks or personal work preferences. Working from the office is encouraged for tasks that require a high degree of collaboration.

More about the role

Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner, the Finance Business Analyst will be responsible for the following activities:

• Deliver timely and accurate monthly reporting, including the posting of journals, management accounts, and variance analysis, providing relevant insights and improvements.
• Support the delivery of forecast/reforecast and budget planning outputs ensuring consistency through adherence to the Group defined reporting procedures for Sales, Marketing, and R&D Functions.
• Delivery of accurate cost centre and project reports (including analysis of time incurred) to budget owners including support on analysis, re-forecast, and budget inputs to deliver targets.
• Support business projects with financial insight and analysis.
• Supporting the delivery of Half Year and Annual Report including the co-ordination and production of the Annual Report Pack, investor presentations, half year and annual report, and ensuring adherence to Group defined reporting procedures.
• Support the reporting, monitoring, and claiming of UK Government Innovation Funding grants.

Our ideal candidate will have experience of working within a finance team, use of ERP systems, Business Information systems, preferably with Power BI, and the ability to work effectively in spreadsheets, or demonstrate a willingness to acquire such expertise both through supported learning and self-study.

You will be working towards a recognised accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) or keen to commence one having had exposure through education.
