Finance Assistant - Gravesend

Your new company

An independent business within the construction industry are seeking a dedicated Finance Assistant to join their accounts team. This role is crucial in maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of the company's financial operations.

Your new role

  1. Processing invoices onto the ledger
  2. Checking invoices against statements and chasing for missing invoices
  3. Processing the monthly payment run
  4. Reconciling the credit card, PayPal, and cash book to bank statements
  5. Preparing and analysing management accounts
  6. Providing sales ledger holiday cover on an ad hoc basis

What you'll need to succeed

  1. Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchase ledger
  2. Knowledge of Sage 50 is advantageous but not essential.
  3. Proficiency in Excel and Word
  4. Friendly and approachable demeanour
  5. Ability to solve queries and be flexible in approach
  6. Capability to work independently and use own initiative
