Join Our Client's Team as a Finance Assistant!
Are you ready to embark on an exciting, new career journey? Our client is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join their dynamic team in Worcester! This is a permanent position where you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes.
As a Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for a variety of crucial tasks that contribute to the overall financial health of the organisation. Your responsibilities will include:
- Purchase Ledger Management: Oversee and maintain accurate records of all purchases, ensuring timely processing and payment.
- Operating Lease Ownership: Take charge of operating lease management, including compliance with IFRS 16 reporting requirements.
- VAT Management: Assist in VAT returns and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Fixed Assets Oversight: Manage fixed asset registers and ensure accurate recording and reporting.
- Accruals and Prepayments: Get involved in the preparation of accruals and prepayments, helping to maintain accurate financial records.
- Subsidiary Management Accounts: Take ownership of the management accounts for two subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
- Month-End Responsibilities: Contribute to various month-end tasks, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Ad Hoc Tasks: Be ready to tackle a variety of other tasks as necessary, helping the finance team achieve its goals.
What We're Looking For:
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- A strong background in finance or accounting.
- Familiarity with purchase ledgers, VAT, and fixed asset management.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn.
