Job Title: Finance Assistant
Location: Manchester (Commutable from surrounding areas including Stockport, Salford, Oldham, and Bolton)
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 DOE
Job Type: Full-time, Office-based (5 days a week)

We are currently seeking an experienced Finance Assistant for an exciting opportunity based in Manchester. This is a full-time, office-based position offering a competitive salary between £25,000 and £30,000 depending on experience. You will play an essential role in a dynamic company that provides comprehensive claims handling services within the insurance sector. 2. Duties & Responsibilities

1. Perform daily bank reconciliations for multiple client accounts, ensuring accurate records.
2. Process payments, allocate funds, and maintain detailed records for three departments.
3. Run sanctions checks and verify bank details via telephone for payments.
4. Manage foreign exchange (FX) banking, multicurrency payments, and related reporting.
5. Prepare various reports, including fee schedules, cash flow checks, and closed file reports.

3. What Experience is Required

1. Proven experience in purchase ledger and financial reporting, particularly in a fast-paced environment.
2. Excellent Excel skills and experience with Xero is desirable.
3. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage time-sensitive tasks and work under pressure.
4. Experience in banking, foreign exchange, or insurance sectors is an advantage.
