FINANCE ASSISTANT FOR POPULAR NEWHAM BASED SCHOOL
This excellent secondary school in the heart of Newham is looking for a Finance Assistant to join their fantastic Finance office in a post which could start right away (negotiable). You will provide support to the whole school staff, students, and parents, and therefore a friendly and efficient attitude is essential. Experience of working in a finance office is essential, as well as confidence in using computerised finance systems.

About the Finance Assistant post: Main responsibilities
- Administration of financial records for school visits, FSM, and all other student income.
- Raising invoices, reconciling payments received, and following up outstanding invoices.
- Raising and issuing purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers, and investigating discrepancies.
- Checking and processing payment of invoices.
- Checking, processing, and reconciling petty cash.
- Maintaining various spreadsheets to record items of expenditure and income.
- Counting and preparing cash/cheques for banking.
