Finance Assistant

InstaStaff are currently recruiting for an experienced Finance Assistant to join a Manufacturing and Distribution company based in Tamworth, on a 6-month temp to perm basis.

My client has been established over 30 years and is a worldwide company, a leader in their market, supplying various industries including Automotive, Aerospace, Medical, and Machining.

You will be joining a team of 4 and will be a vital part of the finance department. It is a very busy and fast-paced department, and you will have a high level of support from a very experienced team.

The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude and will be happy to get stuck in and help.

You will have an excellent eye for detail, and you must be able to question things if you feel it's not right and pick up on mistakes.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to grow within a role and a company; courses will be offered on SAP, cash pooling, treasury, and stocks and shares.

The duties of the Finance Assistant will include:

1. Bank reconciliation
2. Journaling
3. Debit and credit
4. Accounts receivable
5. Accounts payable
6. Dealing and balancing ledgers
7. Clearing up of transactions
8. Allocating and reallocating invoices
9. Speaking to customers via phone and email
10. Preparing reports
11. Tracking spending
12. Monitoring income
13. Making improvements

The ideal Finance Assistant will have:

1. Experience within a similar role
2. All-round finance experience
3. Excellent knowledge of reconciliation
4. A can-do attitude
5. The ability to spot mistakes, question things, work at a fast pace, and deal with volume

The salary for the Finance Assistant will be circa GBP30,000 (GBP15.40 per hour). This is a 6-month temp to perm role; whilst you are temping, you will be paid weekly through the agency.

The hours of work for the Finance Assistant are Monday to Thursday 8.30 am - 5 pm and Friday 8.30 am - 4 pm.
