Finance Assistant

iMultiply are working in partnership with AFG Media to recruit a Finance Assistant working in Edinburgh. The role is paying a competitive salary along with some great additional benefits.

The Company

AFG Media own some of the best costume brands in the world, including Morphsuits and Fun Shack, and golf clothing brand, Royal & Awesome. We are an international, multi-channel retailer and we are growing quickly primarily through the Amazon channel. We have a team of over 60 people and are based in central Edinburgh. The Role

The role of Finance Assistant will work with an experienced team and will report to senior management. The successful individual will have experience of purchase ledger, sales ledger, bank reconciliations and assisting at month end.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and will be able to build efficient working relationships with a number of non-finance stakeholders within the organisation. It is also key for this individual to balance their time effectively and prioritise set tasks at the appropriate time.

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

1. Positing & Reconciling payments
2. Bank Reconciliations
3. Processing a large volume of invoices on a weekly basis
4. Processing payments to suppliers
5. Assisting the finance team with month end duties
6. Weekly payment runs
7. Raising Sales Invoices
8. Assisting with ad hoc finance and admin duties

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:

1. Previous experience in a similar type role
2. Strong organisational skills
3. Strong IT skills (in particular Excel)
4. Ability to work to deadlines
5. Excellent communication skills
