Finance Assistant

RECfinancial are currently recruiting exclusively for this South Leicester based client as they look to recruit an experienced Accounts/Finance Assistant on a permanent basis. This is a great role for a candidate looking for a new challenge and/or career progression.

The role of Accounts Assistant will see you report into an experienced Management Accountant with a dotted line through to the Finance Director. Both are highly experienced in their field and will help you to really develop and hone your skills, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the finance department. Your role as Accounts Assistant will be pivotal in the areas of Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, Credit Control, Reconciliations etc. The role offers a lot more if you want it to, along with study support should you choose it.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Purchase ledger, matching and coding invoices
2. Sales ledger, cash allocation, BACS
3. Credit Control, debt collection via email / debtor days
4. Bank posting and reconciliations
5. Preparation and posting of journals
6. Processing of payroll

If you want additional elements to add to the Accounts Assistant role, you'll also be able to:

1. Assist with the production of management accounts
2. Assist with cash flow forecasting
3. Variance analysis / budgets etc

Required Skills:

1. Knowledge of working in a SME would be ideal but not essential
2. Excellent communication skills
3. Knowledge of Sage or similar is ideal
4. Excel and Office is essential
