Home-Start is the leading family support charity striving to give young children the best possible start in life. We work with families to help them overcome issues such as isolation, mental health difficulties, bereavement, family breakdown, addiction, physical ill-health and many others.
We were the first Home-Start in Scotland and have been supporting local families in Perth & Kinross for over 40 years.
We're looking for a Finance and Business Officer to play a central role within our organisation, including a wide range of responsibilities from managing all financial aspects and providing management information to contributing to funding and organisational strategy.

About Aberlour’s New Family Advice and Community Connection Service:
We are providing early support and advice to families who may feel they have become a bit stuck or who are looking for some information, advice, signposting or referrals to other services.
All families with children under the age of 18, living in Perth and Kinross, can contact us directly to access our new service. Working alongside families we will offer personalised support on family matters, when they need it most, in locations to suit them.
As part of this team, you would provide a service and lifeline for these families.
What we are looking for:
We are looking for an experienced, adaptable individual who can bring fresh, innovative and flexible approaches to family support. Working 37.5 hours per week, applicants must be flexible in order to deliver support at times that meet the families and communities needs which may include out of hours (early mornings, evenings and weekends).
You will work alongside statutory and other agencies to achieve positive outcomes for children, young people, and their families.
You are someone who will have strong communication, teamwork, planning and decision-making skills, along with a compassionate nature to understand the necessity of best practice and thrive on helping children and families overcome the challenges presented by everyday modern life.

The role:
The Perinatal Family Worker will be based in 3D Drumchapel Office within Drumchapel Community Centre, however the role will involve some work in and around the community including home visits, and a weekly presence at the Antenatal Clinic. The Perinatal Family Worker will support families and babies by working as part of the Perinatal team to design and deliver parent and child play sessions, parenting groups, offering one-to-one support, and signposting and referring to other support services where necessary. The role will involve liaising and working together with Health Services, including local Midwives, Health Visitors and the Family Nurse Partnership.

Barnardo's Threads is a holistic family support and housing service for young people and families in Renfrewshire, helping them give their children the best start in life. There are a range of services on offer at Threads for families to get the support they need at the earliest opportunity to provide a healthy, nurturing, stable environment for their children.
We provide support in the following areas:
The administrator assistant role will be pivotal in supporting the day to day running of a busy office as directed by the current service administrator. Tasks include, but are not limited to, answering telephone calls, welcoming visitors to the service, managing diaries and event bookings, preparing audit information and reports, monitoring income and expenditure and processing invoices.
The assistant will also support the wider team members to maintain service user records and day to day requirements as well as supporting other areas of the wider Threads Service Portfolio as directed by the Children's Service Manager.
The successful applicant should be motivated, driven and can work on their own initiative and as part of a wider multidisciplinary team. Experience of working alongside colleagues from a multidisciplinary background would be desirable and experience of working in the public or third sector would be welcomed.
The successful candidate will require to work with a high degree of flexibility to meet the needs of the service.
