Reporting to the Finance Business Partner – Retail Operations, this is a key analyst role in the business assisting the Business Partner supporting the c.400 Halfords Retail Stores, the outsourced Customer Care team (400+ heads) and their senior management teams.
The current roles and responsibilities are designed for a Finance Analyst with experience / eagerness to learn in that, along with key reporting responsibilities, the role also assumes Business Partnering responsibilities for 2 areas of the Business – Store General and Customer Services.
Amongst the Analyst parts of the role, key responsibilities include:
Breakback process: creating the individual store Sales target both during the annual budget cycles but also as per the corporate monthly reforecasting process, in order to ensure Sales budgets are realistic but also to ensure tight cost control across the business.
Performance driving reporting and Analysis: maintaining and creating easy to use and insightful reporting to help stakeholders drive business performance - current reporting includes Weekly KPI Reports, Monthly Scorecards and Bonus Trackers amongst others, and Analysis will centre around any BAU KPIs that are adverse to plan and the tracking the success of key trials across the retail area.
Within the Business Partnering side of the role, this requires the ability to create good working relationships with the stakeholders, assisting in the creation of stretching yet achievable targets and holding stakeholders to account in the delivery of those targets.
The core of the role requires standard Finance Analyst / BP skills but time management skills and resilience are essential to deliver a high volume workload.
