Finance Analyst

Job Purpose

We are looking for a driven Finance Analyst to join our team, reporting directly to the ADE European Finance Business Partner. This exciting role offers exposure to multiple sites across the UK and France, allowing you to collaborate with senior management and key stakeholders to influence strategic financial decisions and improvements.

You will provide financial insights to General Managers, manage forecasting, budgeting, and P&L analysis, and deliver reports that shape business strategy. With a commercial focus, you'll identify trends, drive profitability, and improve financial processes through automation and efficiency gains, while ensuring data accuracy and supporting audits.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide accounting and analytical support to internal stakeholders, including the Country Manager and Finance Director.
  2. Handle accounting adjustments (accruals, prepayments, provisions, etc.).
  3. Oversee financial responsibilities across multiple plants in the UK.
  4. Perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the European Finance Business Partner.
  5. Collaborate with the Prague Shared Services team to manage PO, AP, and AR processing.
  6. Assist with monitoring and controlling costs.
  7. Work with the Shared Services team to make accounting adjustments and support monthly and year-end close processes.
  8. Conduct P&L variance analysis and report findings to the Management Team.
  9. Provide data-driven recommendations for improving financial performance.
  10. Support the Country Manager, General Managers, and VPs with budgeting and forecasting.
  11. Assist with Capital Expenditure forms and justification.
  12. Liaise with internal and external auditors.
  13. Provide ad-hoc financial analysis as needed.

Ideal Candidate

  1. 1-3 years of experience in an accounting or finance environment.
  2. Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with senior management and cross-functional teams.
  3. Experience with financial modeling and applying it to real-world business challenges.
  4. Understanding of accounting principles. A formal accountancy qualification (AAT/ACA/ACCA) is preferred, though we will also consider candidates currently enrolled in an accountancy training course or looking to further their career in accountancy.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with SAP is a nice to have.
  6. Experience with Hyperion or Power BI is a plus.
  7. Ability to drive process improvements.
  8. Bonus points for experience in commercial analysis or an understanding of sales trends.
  9. A driven and proactive attitude.
  10. Well-organized with excellent time management skills.
  11. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels.
