Job title: Finance Analyst
Location: Sheffield - 2 days a week in office.
About us:
The Finance Analyst is responsible for providing guidance and support, as the primary contact, to the sales account teams for a specific sub-set of clients, and also collaborates with teammates cross functionally around matters relating to the clients contract and or account profitability.
The Finance Analyst provides financial reporting and analysis of client accounts to forecast future revenue and expenditures, determine budgets and monitor financial movements within the market. They also support leadership to inform critical business decisions by producing and or presenting research findings, reports, financial information and data to ensure all decisions and actions taken are both financially and commercially sound and in line with business objectives.
In addition, the Finance Analyst collaborates with key stakeholders across Insight's sales and services delivery teams, across EMEA, to provide financial support to sales activities. They are also accountable for maintaining the Financial elements that support the multiyear account plan which is imperative for securing sustained growth.
Key responsibilities:
- Analyse both current and past client account financial information and data to forecast future performance including forecasting future revenues, gross profit and costs, as well as modelling and budgeting.
- Lead a range of client account financial processes and or activities including process calendarisation by consulting with commercial and operational management and focus on the delivery of best in-class quality output in line with agreed deadlines.
- Develop reports, forecasts and models to support multiyear planning and forecasting by analysing financial data and contracts and communicate insights which inform and support wider business decisions.
- Prepare and produce reports and or recommendations on financial performance at client level for regular business/leadership reviews to improve financial growth.
- Reconcile account transactions by cross-referencing incoming and outgoing data and present information/data in the most effective format, also collaborate with relevant stakeholders across the client teams to ensure accurate reporting.
- Responsible for the financial setup of the account in line with contractual requirements including revenue recognition verification, cost alignment and billing requirement.
- Responsible for the account's finances including:
- Developing mechanisms to minimise and track financial risk;
- Managing the account balance sheet depended on deal solution in line with SOX requirements;
- Managing cash management practices including maintaining DSO measures and cash position.
- Support billing volume reconciliation with contractual schedules and support invoice presentation and queries with clients.
- Support contractual pricing activities including CPI pricing recalculation and verification of billing changes.
- Support the verification and development of CCN Pricing schedules and validate profitability assumptions for new client offerings.
- Track relevant sales, and actual performance, metrics and KPIs to evaluate financial performance by comparing/analysing both current and past results with plans and forecasts, also perform variance analysis, identify trends and or make recommendations for improvement where necessary.
- Track operational metrics/leading indicators for individual clients and or groups i.e., sales performance, presales ROI and sales opportunities, pipeline forecasts, backlog analysis, win rates, P&L analysis, and revenue, cost and or budget variances.
- Provide advice and or guidance to the client team around their budgets and the financial aspects of their operational decisions, also provide value-added management reporting on return-on-investment ("ROI") trends.
- Build relationships with Customer Supplier managers and Commercial Managers regarding commercial issues and support them with any queries and or billing issues and escalate client matters to the Commercial Finance Manager and or other key stakeholders accordingly.

Key skills and experience required:- Educated to degree level or can demonstrate equivalent work experience
- Holds relevant professional qualifications, accreditations and or certifications
- Elevated level of written and spoken English
- A confident, enthusiastic and proactive communicator
- Fully conversant with Microsoft Office 365 (such as Teams, Outlook, Excel, and Word) -Demonstrates working knowledge of SAP, familiarity with data query/management tools
- Suitably qualified and or holds relevant experience in an accounting and or finance function applicable to the role
- Previous experience of working as a Management Accountant in a professional and or managed services environment
- Ability to use a broad range of financial, process and operational knowledge to support stakeholders and inform recommendations
- Ability to exercise diplomacy, is easy to approach, and respectful with an open, honest and responsive demeanour
- Ability to pay close attention to finer details, also demonstrates discipline to ensure regular reviews and or processes run accordingly
- Strong networking and people skills, the ability to build partnerships and consensus within teams and amongst key stakeholders
- Ability to maintain a strong financial analysis foundation by creating forecasts and models using financial modelling techniques
- Ability to present information to and inspire confidence in and or influence senior stakeholders and management
- Ability to service both business and stakeholders needs through creative and insightful analysis, also demonstrates effective communication skills and business and commercial acumen
- Ability to partner closely with stakeholders cross functionally to form an agile, forward-thinking team with the appropriate business analysis capabilities required to collaboratively assess and communicate business issues
- Ability to use change management methodologies to drive behavioural change and or overcome resistance to change -Demonstrates the ability to deal with ambiguity effectively and an elevated level of resilience when dealing with setbacks and challenges
