Job Description
- Annual Budget Production:
- Collaborate with the Business Analyst and operational management on-site to produce the annual budget.
- Ensure that all departments are aligned with budget targets and objectives.
- Approval of Weekly Management Accounts:
- Review and approve weekly management accounts.
- Ensure checks are conducted for accuracy and consistency.
- Agree on results with the Finance Business Partner to ensure alignment with financial goals.
- Improving Profitability:
- Work with the Account Director and site teams to challenge Key Performance Indicator (KPI) performance.
- Identify areas for cost optimization and efficiency improvements to drive profitability within the portfolio.
- Client KPI and Reporting:
- Produce and maintain client-specific KPIs.
- Prepare comprehensive reports for monthly and quarterly meetings.
- Use data to support discussions with clients and internal teams to ensure performance targets are met.
- Finance Performance Reporting:
- Provide insightful and accurate information to all stakeholders through Finance Performance Reports.
- Highlight key trends, areas for improvement, and financial health to guide decision-making.
- Invoice Accuracy and Timeliness:
- Ensure that invoices are raised accurately and in a timely manner to avoid delays in payment and cash flow disruptions.
- Renewals and ICAP Presentations:
- Participate in contract renewals and ICAP presentations.
- Support the preparation and review of financial aspects for contract negotiations, ensuring that renewal terms align with financial objectives.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Finance Analyst should have:
- A professional accounting qualification.
- Experience in management accounting within the Transport & Distribution industry.
- Excellent financial analysis and reporting skills.
- Strong knowledge of accounting regulations and standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
