If you have experience with SQL or SAS, can tell a great story with data, and possess strong financial forecasting skills, you could be perfect as our new Finance Analyst. You’ll work three days a week from a flagship office and two from home.
The Recoveries team is responsible for generating £30m in income for BT Group from multiple channels and debt types. Accurate forecasting and performance analysis against various KPIs is vital to ensure we remain on track to continually add maximum value to BT Group.
Responsibilities:
- Monthly analysis of financial performance by brand, channel, supplier, and product, considering recovery rates, costs, and debt sale income.
- Forecasting future income generated from debt recovery pre- and post-sale by brand, channel, supplier, and product.
- Building highly accurate, detailed debt sale files to comply with Debt Purchaser requirements.
- Identifying and delivering improvements to Debt Sale data files to improve accuracy and include new customer data to enhance debt sale pricing.
- Completing ad hoc analysis to identify performance issues or areas of improvement impacting debt sale processes.
- Producing team KPI dashboard to ensure an accurate story of Recoveries performance is communicated to stakeholders up to the director level.
- Maintaining effective relationships with external Debt Collections Agencies and Debt Purchasers.
Skills & Experience:
- Strong storytelling with data skills, building the case for change and communicating this to business audiences.
- Proficiency in SAS, SQL, and Excel to manipulate large volumes of data for detailed analysis.
- Knowledgeable in business strategy and the drivers of organisational performance, including financial literacy.
- Collaborative working with the wider recoveries strategy team to understand drivers of Recoveries volumes and deliver solutions to improve performance.
- Experience in analysis & interpretation of large volumes of financial performance data, preferably in the TELCO sector.
