Finance Analyst

Job description

We are seeking a highly analytical and qualified accountant to join our finance team in Aberdeen. This role will report directly to the Senior VP Finance and will be instrumental in driving financial analysis and strategic decision-making within the organization.

Job Responsibilities

1. Conduct detailed financial analysis to support business decisions and strategic initiatives.
2. Prepare and review financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
3. Collaborate with various departments to gather and analyze financial data.
4. Assist in the development and implementation of financial strategies.
5. Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data to improve business performance.
6. Support the internal audit function and contribute to process improvements.
7. Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
8. Perform Ad hoc duties.

Required Skills / Knowledge

1. Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
2. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
6. Attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Experience

1. Experience in a similar analytical role within a corporate finance environment.
2. Familiarity with financial reporting standards and regulations.
3. Previous experience working in fast-paced working environment.
4. Excellent presenting skills and ability to present financial data to different levels and functions.

Education Requirements

1. Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

1. Aberdeen based.
