Title: Field Service Engineer

Location: Portsmouth, England

Salary: £30 000 - £40 000 plus comprehensive benefits

Green Data Talent is partnered up with a leader in renewable energy and power generation who are currently in the market for a Field Service Engineer.

As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of advanced automation and control systems across a variety of industrial sites.

Responsibilities:

• Commissioning, servicing, and troubleshooting of automated systems and machinery.
• Providing technical support and training to clients on-site.
• Diagnosing faults across PLCs, HMIs, and control panels.
• Deliver technical reports and documentation post-service.
• Preparing, planning, testing and commissioning high and low voltage automation system upgrades.
• Performing routine maintenance tasks and training across all automation systems, both onshore and offshore for customers.

Requirements:

• Higher National Diploma in Electrical Engineering
• Proven experience in a field service role within industrial automation or controls.
• Strong understanding of PLC systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi).
• Familiarity with HMI/SCADA platforms and electrical fault-finding.
• Due to the nature of work all applicants must be eligible for SC Clearance.
