Field Service Technician

Role: Service Technician

Hours: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm - (overtime available - x1.5 from Monday to Saturday, Sundays, and Bank Holidays)

Location: Skelmersdale & surrounding areas

Pay: Competitive - dependent upon skills & experience.

Our client is an established leading regional agricultural machinery dealer with over 30 years of trading in the field. They supply an extensive range of agricultural machinery throughout East England, Mid and North Wales, and sell high-quality used equipment across the UK and abroad.

As a Service Technician, you will:

1. Perform diagnostics and repairs on agricultural or plant equipment in a workshop and/or field environment.
2. Complete all reports and administration required in a timely manner and to a high quality (job cards, time sheets).
3. Follow all safety rules and regulations.
4. Complete all training programmes to further develop skills and knowledge in a timely manner.
5. Maintain a clear environment, assist with overall workshop organisation, and ensure correct use of tools and vehicles.
6. Mentor apprentices.

The ideal candidate will be:

1. Experienced in performing service repairs with agricultural equipment or plant machinery.
2. Able to perform repairs and maintenance using correct tools and equipment, following approved techniques.
3. Proficient in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
4. Holding a minimum LTA certification or appropriate comparable by the role.
5. Able to work extended hours and weekends.
6. Possessing a full, clean driving license, essential for field roles.
