Field Service Engineer - Permanent
Great opportunity to join our dedicated team of Field Service Engineers to cover South UK including the Isle of Wight. Ideally based in and around the Southampton area. A company van for business use is provided.

What you will do
The Field Service Engineer is primarily responsible for maintaining a professional and profitable repair and preventive maintenance service business on Stryker's products while ensuring compliance with the quality system and manufacturer specifications. He/she delivers technical assistance at customer sites and provides documentation to internal and external customers.
This role is within Stryker ProCare Medical Division to provide support on the following product categories:
Acute: Hospital beds, Patient trollies/stretchers, Temperature Management System.
Patient Transport: Power Load System and associated Patient Cots, Powered Chair - Ambulance Services.
Advanced and Basic Life Support: Defibrillation and CPR devices.
Essential duties & responsibilities:
- Repair and check Electronic / Mechanical Stryker products
- Complete Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and calibration according to MDR on customer site
- Utilize software and technological tools to maintain proper records and access technical information
- Assist the regulatory affairs department/customer to action product recalls, field safety notices, and field action notices
- Fulfil Service contracts with planned maintenances
- Delivery of technical training to internal & external
- Perform installation of Stryker systems on customer site
- Perform software & hardware upgrades
- Efficient and thorough documentation of service activities for internal and external reference
- Ensure traceability of all field-based Stryker products through reporting tools
- Provide technical support to internal and external customers
- Escalate opportunities and issues in appropriate team meetings
- Ensure excellent follow-up on all customer-initiated issues
- Ensure service provided is invoiced if not under warranty
- Scheduling of customer visits in cooperation with customer service
What you need- Educated to degree level in Engineering/Medical Electronics or equivalent, at least one of the following: Electrical / Electronic / Biomedical / Mechanical or HNC/HND in a technology subject with relevant experience.
- Fluency in both spoken and written (technical and medical) English and local language
- Adequate IT knowledge (Microsoft Office, Oracle, Service Max, Outlook)
- 3 years hands-on experience in Medical electronics, combined with good mechanical skills
- Experience in a Field Service role within the hospital environment and healthcare work
- IT experience on administrative and technical levels
- Experience and ability to build relationships with internal & external customers to drive brand loyalty
